It's 6 o clock and I'm just getting back home. My feet are tired and my wallet is not what it once was in the morning but all of it is worth it because I've just had the most incredible day at the Hustler's Market.
It had been a while since I've left the house (about a month and a half) and I suddenly felt the itch of exploration which I simply had to scratch. I usually attend church events or roam aimlessly around the CBD hoping to encounter some miraculous bargain but on this day I decide to try something new and it was all inspired by an instagram post.
So on the 7th of July I head on over to this Hustlers Market not knowing what to expect. To be honest before I had hear about it but I'd always find some excuse to put it off but on this I just decided to let go of my excuses and step out and explore. My goal is simple to see what the fuss is all about. After a kombu drive and a few blocks of walking (I really need the exercise 😝) I arrived at the creative hub. I'm nervous "What if I'm awkward? What if I don't fit in?" After a few tentative greetings I visit each exhibit surveying the various wares that each person is selling. Presumes, colorful coats and all manner of goods are on display and truthfully it's a pity I can't buy anything today but I am impressed. My favorite stand is African Patriot Clothing which sells long sleeved T shirts embedded with colorful African designs giving you a feel of truly being an African.
After seeing all the stands I begin my other core mission, meeting the beautiful folks who've graced the occasion. I just love meeting new people and having different conversations from the usual ones. I meet marketers, lawyers, photographers and MCs. It's a great feeling knowing that I'm not the only creative soul out here. Conversations flow like rivers and soon Hustler's Market feels like a home away from. I even share with a few people my creative endeavours. It's also a treat to see and meet the magamba TV crew and Maggie from bustop TV.

Afterwards it's time for music and all I can say is Damn! There is a lot talent out there. Bars upon bars 😎.

Soon it's time for me to head home with all the good vibes my soul can handle.
